Reflexology was first offered to me by my Homeopath, at a time of bereavement and family illness. It had an
unexpected and profound impact, enabling me to process and shift the physical and emotional impacts of loss and grief.
My journey to becoming a Reflexologist has been a winding path and harks back to being a creative with a keen interest in the natural world - a BA(hons) in Graphic Design, a spell as a Photographer, an IoE PGCE in Primary Education, and an inherited love of plants, gardening, pickling and natural remedies. I had the good fortune to find and train with a truly inspirational teacher, Alex Clark, who continues to be instrumental in my development as an authentic holistic practitioner and enabled me to benefit from wider teaching with esteemed reflexologists at the forefront of modern reflexology and research.
I hold the SEG Diploma in Reflexology for Wellbeing, the nationally recognised, AoR-endorsed qualification. I am a full member of the AoR, abiding by their Code of Practice and Ethics and commiting to Continuing Professional Development – ensuring my knowledge and skills remain current and that my practice has the breadth to support you to re-balance and thrive.
Clients come to me experiencing many symptoms and complex problems: for example musculo-skeletal pain, neurological imbalances, infertility, skin, hair and nail issues, hormonal imbalances, anxiety and digestive disorders.
The treatment is guided by the consultation, and by my findings of imbalances and areas of congestion during the sessions. Nutrition and movement advice are always offered as part of your aftercare, if you would like. Read more about reflexology and the way I work on the What is Reflexology page, and please take a look at the Testimonials on the home page, which give an idea of all the health benefits clients experience.
Alongside my practices in Shepherds Bush in West London, and Brighton, I offer treatments at University College London Hospital (UCLH) in Central London, have run events for Young Carers and provide Reflexology and Well-being workshops in the workplace.
Please do ask any questions, the symptoms you are experiencing or how reflexology can help you. Contact me by phone on 07974 196354 for a chat, or text of course, and I will call you back at a convenient time. You can also email me at info@cathymasserreflexology.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
nb: my phone goes to voicemail if I am working. I always respond as soon as I can but I often see text messages before I am alerted to voicemails, so feel free to text too.
